Getting on with it

I haven’t been on here for a while as I have been manic. It’s all good though!

As I am fit and well, I have focussed on giving something back to the people who have helped me. I have spent many hours supporting Sarcoma UK and Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.

I haven’t done it alone though!

A HUGE well done to Lou & Richard, Mike, Chris, Terry and Steven who all took part in the “Men’s Health Survival of the Fittest” the team raised funds for Sarcoma UK. I had fun watching them….

I would also like to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped raise funds for Clatterbridge Cancer Centre over the last two months. Activities have ranged from collecting donations in buckets at rail stations to selling toys at Eaton Estate’s private and wonderful bonfire. From mum selling Krispy Kreme donuts to Joe winning an owl hat in a tombola (Don’t ask!)
We’ve been cold, muddy, tired but we’ve had a bloody good laugh.

As I’ve previously mentioned, it’s the first Christmas in three years I won’t be having treatment. I am ecstatic about this and intend to enjoy the festive season…yet my tree isn’t up yet! (What?? It’s only December 2nd!)

Sending big hugs and positive thoughts to those of you going through scans, treatments and just bad times with this awful disease. Keep going and stay positive
xx
