Yesterday I went to The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham to support the ‘On the ball’ campaign as a patient rep for Sarcoma UK. The aim of the campaign is to create awareness and drive early diagnosis of sarcoma – ideally when they are the size of a golf ball (5cm).
Sarcoma is treatable if detected early so this is a great campaign. For more information please visit the Sarcoma UK website by clicking here.
The amazing Richard Whitehead was there to support and I was lucky enough to meet the lovely man.
Support Group Website for Merseyside & Cheshire
I’ve been constructing a website to complement our support group. This has now been published to the Sarcoma website which is great as it enables other people affected by sarcoma to see what support we can offer. Click here to take a look.
Sarcoma (and Mr Chandrasekar) in the news
Here’s an interesting story about another patient from the North West. Click here to view it.
And lastly, I will be taking my Sarcoma UK t-shirt away with me. I’ll snap myself wearing it in The Big Apple. It is Sarcoma Awareness Week after all….!
